| 1857 | William Seward Burroughs is born in Albany, NY |
| 1885 | William Burroughs invents and patents the first workable adding and listing machine in St. Louis, MO |
| 1886 | William Burroughs and three businessmen form the American Arithmometer Company with one product, an adding and listing machine, which sells for $475 |
| 1898 | William Burroughs dies in Cintronelle, AL |
| 1904 | Using a special train, the company relocates to Detroit, MI with all employees and their families in one day |
| 1905 | The company is renamed Burroughs Adding Machine Co. |
| 1926 | Burroughs produces its one millionth adding machine |
| 1931 | Burroughs introduces the standard typewriter at trade shows in New York and Chicago |
| 1948 | Revenues exceed $100 million and its products are used in over 16,000 banks |
| 1959 | Burroughs develops magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) |
| 1961 | Burroughs markets the first virtual memory computer with dual processors |
| 1964 | Burroughs develops a carbon coating process and establishes Nukote as its marketing brand |
| 1980 | A Burroughs-developed golf scoring system is introduced at the 109th British Open |
| 1986 | Burroughs and Sperry merge to form Unisys Corporation |
| 1987 | The management team executes a leveraged buyout of the hardcopy supplies division and forms Nukote International as an independent company |
| 1991 | Nukote files an initial public offering and raises $70 million in capital. NASDAQ trades the shares under the ticker NKOT |
| 1992 | Nukote acquires Connellsville, PA-based International Communications Materials Inc. (ICMI) and enters the copier toner market |
| 1993 | Nukote acquires Chatsworth, CA-based Future Graphics, Inc. and enters the laser cartridge market |
| 1995 | Nukote acquires the hardcopy supplies division of Swiss-based Pelikan AG, creating the worlds largest aftermarket manufacturer of printing supplies |
| 1999 | Nukote divests certain assets, including Pelikan AG and Modular Ink Technology (MIT) |
| 2000 | Richmont Capital Partners, a merchant banking partnership headquartered in Dallas, acquires Nukote |
| 2002 | Nukote acquires an interest in New Regent Printing Supplies, Ltd with operating headquarters in China |
| 2003 | Nukote centralizes its headquarters and research & development laboratories in Rochester, NY, the imaging capital of the world |
| 2008 | Nukote opens its new state-of-the-art Production Center in Monterrey, Mexico |
